How Do Temperature Sensors and Thermostats Control the Water Temperature of a Swimming Pool?

In some pools, normal use requires a relatively constant water temperature, rather than blowing hot and cold. However, due to the change of incoming pressure and temperature of heat source water, the temperature and humidity of swimming pool environment will also change, which will cause the instability of outlet temperature of heated water in heat exchanger. At this time, it is difficult to meet the needs of operation by manually adjusting the valve. At this time, it is necessary for the constant temperature system to be equipped with automatic temperature control function, the use of temperature sensor and temperature controller, to automatically adjust the water temperature at the pre-set temperature.

In the installation of this kind of water temperature control system, the first need to be in the heat source water inlet and outlet pipe, do a unicom tube beyond the heat exchanger, the electric valve is installed on the Unicom tube. At the same time, a temperature sensor is installed on the pool circulation pipe before the heat exchanger. Of course, the temperature of the pipe at this location can represent the temperature of the existing pool. The signal wire is transmitted to the temperature controller which can be manually set, and then the temperature controller controls the switch of the electric valve on the connecting tube.

1

When the temperature sensor transmits the monitored pipe water temperature to the temperature controller, the temperature controller will automatically compare with the artificially set temperature. When the water temperature is lower than the set temperature, it will control the electric valve on the connecting pipe to close. At this time, the hot water in the supply pipe of the heat source can only go through the heat exchanger to the return water pipe of the heat source, so that the pool water can be heated.

2

When the temperature controller received the temperature measurement value is higher than the set value, it will control the electric valve on the connecting pipe to open, because the resistance of the valve is much smaller than the resistance of the heat exchanger, the hot water in the water supply pipe will flow through the valve to the hot water return pipeline, so that the heat exchanger is exceeded, will not give the circulation of the pool water heating.

3

Finally, it is worth noting that the temperature setting of the thermostat has an upper and lower limit range, otherwise slight changes in circulating water temperature will also make the electric valve open or close, so that the electric valve will be frequently switched on and off, affecting the service life.
